Linda Ellzey, 68, of Hammond, LA passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Ponchatoula Community Care Center in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Linda was born on April 26, 1954 to Thad and Susie Dokes Ellzey in Magnolia, Mississippi.
Linda is survived by five sons: Archie Elzey (Ka'Ron), Sherwood (Yevette) Elzey, Robert (Sorita) Elzey, Geroge Broadway, Sedrick Elzey and one daughter, Sharon Elzey; four brothers, Robert Elzey, John Dokes, James Dokes and Robert Dokes; three sisters, Annie Irvin, Frankie Dokes and Gladys Elzey; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Dokes.

Family and Friends may be received on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at S.L. Booker Family Funeral Services, LLC., 1105 West Morris Avenue, Hammond. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at True Hammond Church of God In Christ. 19096 Gorman Road in Hammond, LA.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the True Hammond Church of God In Christ with Superintendent Russell Mason, officiating. Burial will take place at Holly Gardens Cemetery, 101 N. Holly Street, Hammond.
